A decorator’s dust sheet is made to catch dust. This mat is built around the mess heating engineers actually deal with.
01
Stops routine spills reaching the floor
The PVC underside creates a waterproof barrier beneath dirty heating water, wet components and damp tools.
02
Sits closer to radiator tails and valves
The slots let you position the mat around pipework instead of bunching a sheet up several inches away.
03
Small enough to use on every call-out
It folds down neatly, comes out quickly and covers the area that matters without taking over the customer’s room.
See it on the job
Protect the customer’s home before the first tool comes out.
Use it wherever clean floors meet wet, dirty or awkward heating work.
Radiator and valve work
Position around pipework and catch drips close to where they happen.
Radiators and filters
A clean, wipeable place for wet tools and components.
Boiler servicing
Protect the floor while panels and parts come off.
Four details that matter
Simple by design. Useful on nearly every heating & plumbing call-out.
Waterproof backing
Helps contain routine water, sludge and wet tools so moisture does not pass straight through.
Pipe-friendly slots
Four reinforced openings help the mat wrap around common radiator tails, valves and nearby pipes.
600D construction
A durable polyester top, bound edges and grippy PVC underside designed for repeated professional use.
Watch the fit
Lay it flat. Slide the pipework into the slots. Start work.
No complicated setup and no need to cut or fold a standard sheet around the job.
01
Unfold the mat beside the radiator, boiler or work area.
02
Use the nearest slot to bring protection closer to the pipe or valve.
03
Wipe clean, dry fully and fold it back into the tool bag.
The practical difference
More than just a dustsheet.
The value is in solving the two things ordinary sheets handle badly: water and pipework.

Good practice: remove pooled water promptly and allow the mat to dry fully before folding. Do not place very hot components or sharp edges directly onto it.
UK Design No. 6486851
Registered design protection for the Heatlab plumbers dust sheet layout.
Designed from site experience
A purpose-built layout—not a generic sheet with a trade label.
Heatlab tools are developed around the awkward parts of real plumbing and heating jobs. The pipe slots and compact footprint are deliberate features, not decoration.
Frequently asked questions
What engineers usually ask.
Is the whole mat waterproof?
The mat has a waterproof PVC underside beneath the 600D polyester top. It is designed to stop routine spills soaking through to the floor. Remove pooled water promptly rather than leaving it sitting for long periods.
What are the four slots for?
They let the mat sit around radiator pipes, valve tails and nearby pipework so the protected area reaches closer to the point most likely to drip.
Is it large enough for boiler servicing?
At 147 × 80 cm it covers the typical domestic work zone beneath boilers and beside radiators. It is intentionally more compact than a decorator’s sheet so it is quicker to use and easier to carry.
Does it slide on hard floors?
The PVC underside is designed to provide grip as well as waterproofing. As with any work mat, check that the floor and underside are free from grit and take care on polished or wet surfaces.
How should I clean and store it?
Wipe or rinse away residue, then allow the mat to dry fully before folding. Avoid storing it wet, and keep sharp or very hot components off the surface.
